A Voyah Dreamer, seen in the rain in Beijing in the summer of 2023. The Voyah Dreamer is a large Chinese MPV with an advanced EREV powertrain. The Dreamer looked great in white, with darkened windows and matte gray alloy wheels.
A Dongfeng Fengshen H30 hatchback, seen in China’s capital Beijing in 2018. The H30 was painted in blue, a little dusty, but in a fine shape for its age. The multispoke alloy wheels were factory standard.
A Dongfeng Xiaokang K07S minivan, seen on the Fifth Ring Road in Beijing by our good friend Lao Wei, thank you for the picture! The little Dongfeng has an interesting sticker on the window, saying B.P.R.D Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense.
A wondrous white Citroen ZX Shenlong-Fukang 988 sedan, seen in the Wangjing Subdistrict in Beijing in 2015. The good old ‘Troen was in great shape, with fresh paint and shiny chrome, nothing broken or gone, and looking completely 100% period-original. Note the typical French single windshield wiper.
Today a car with a very long name: Dongfeng-Nissan Fengshen EQ7200-II Bluebird 2.0i SLA Grandeur. I saw this pristine white example in the Wangjing Subdistrict in northeast Beijing. The old sedan was in a great shape and fitted with the original wheels and all the original badges.
A pretty blue Dongfeng DFAC truck carrying a very heavy load of discarded carton, seen in the far east of Beijing back in 2016. The load is so heavy indeed that the truck almost seemed to break, check the position and angle of the rear wheel! DFAC stands for Dongfeng Automobile Corporation, a major Chinese truck maker, and a subsidiary of Dongfeng Motor.
I was very happy to find this Dongfeng Yueda Kia Pride hatchback in China. The hatchback is much rarer than the sedan. The Pride was in a fine general shape but it was seemingly abandoned, with the license plates taken off.
A silver Kia Pride sedan with some slight damage on the door, seen on the parking lot of the Poly Theatre in central Beijing in 2011. The Kia Pride was made in China by the Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia joint venture. Continue reading “Dongfeng Yueda Kia Pride Sedan In China”
Three super fresh trees, seen on a classic-blue diesel-powered truck on a highway south of the Chinese capital in April 2011. Trucks carrying trees are a returning occurrence in spring in Beijing, when trees from plantations in the suburbs are brought into town for planting. Green city!
Here we have a big Dongfeng truck, in the correct worker’s blue, loaded with about a hundred crates of delicious Yanjing beer, standing in front of a restaurant in central Beijing.
I saw the truck in 2007, when Yanjing beer bottles still contained 0.645 liter of easy drinkable beer with an alcohol percentage of 3.6%. In my good old days I drunk a truck of the stuff each week. Sadly, most Chinese beermakers have since changed their bottle size to the internationally more acceptable 0.5 liter.
The Dongfeng was already an oldie in 2007, and it was clearly not having an easy day with its heavy load of booze! I love the frames on the sides, with reflective 3M tape, intended to prevent bicyclist from ending up underneath. Cheers old Dongfeng, hope you are still around somewhere.
