Li L8 Is An Impressive Chinese EREV SUV With 330 kW

Here we have a Li L8, seen in the Chinese capital Beijing. The L8 is the second-largest Li SUV and it is an impressive machine. It looks luxurious, high-tech, and huge. Even so, it is pretty slippery with a drag coefficient of only 0.297 Cd. Li likes factual color names, not the poetic stuff that other car makers do. The L8 that I saw is painted in a color simply called ‘Gold’.

Volvo S60L T4 Was A Chinese-Swedish Long-wheelbase Sedan

A Volvo S60L sedan, parked alongside the road in China. The Swede looked great, washed, and well-maintained. It was painted in Electric Silver Metallic, a light color that looks very good on the S60.

A Silver FAW-Volkswagen Audi A6 Is A Long-wheelbase German-Chinese Sedan

Here we have an Audi A6 sedan, seen on the road in the Chinese capital Beijing. The good Audi was incredibly dusty but otherwise in good shape. It was still being used, and the paint looked good. It had the original alloy wheels but the bub caps were missing.

A Jiefang CA10 Water Spraying Truck In Beijing In The Summer Of 2003

This is one of my first real automotive spots in China: a beautiful blue Jiefang CA1o water-spraying truck. I saw it at the old Worker’s Stadium in Beijing in the summer of 2003. I arrived in China in the spring, found myself an apartment, and from then on, I was outside for 90% of my time, discovering cool stuff.

Audi A8L 60 TFSI Horch Is A China-only Luxury Limousine

Here we have an Audi A8L Horch, as seen in an Audi dealer in China. The enormous German limousine looked mightily impressive. The Horch comes with loads of extra bling in the grille and bumper, shiny forged pothole rims, and darkened windows. The Horch was displayed right below an equally enormous light unit, taking center stage in the dealer’s building.

A massive Norinco VP11 mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) vehicle, as seen on a police equipment show in Beijing in 2012. The huge machine was parked in a tiny booth in the exhibition hall, there was barely enough space to walk around it.
