Hongqi HS7 45TD Is A Classy V6-powered Seven-seat Chinese SUV

This is the Hongqi HS7, a large Chinese SUV. The HS7 is an impressive car, with an enormous grille with a lot of shine. The typical Hongqi hood ornament runs over the hood and into the center slat of the grille. The car that I met was painted in Hongqi black, with dark windows and gray wheels.

Hongqi CA770 Is A Majestic Chinese State Limousine And I Took A Look Inside And Under The Hood

The Hongqi CA770 is China’s most iconic classic car. I met this beautiful unrestored example at a local car show in Beijing in 2010. The enormous Chinese state limousine was in perfect shape. Painted in black, of course, with all the chrome bits in place, two flag poles, and the original white wall tires and shiny wheel covers.

Hongqi H7 Is A Pretty Chinese Sedan With Some Japanese Roots

A Hongqi H7 sedan, seen on a police equipment exhibition in Beijing in 2012. The H7 was still brand new then, so it was displayed on a stage with large screens. The H7 was painted black, like they always were, emphasizing the size and shine of the grille and the red hood ornament.

Hongqi Qijian CA7460 And Some Other Hongqi Cars In Jilin, China, In 2003

Let’s go back in time to 2003 when I visited the Changchun Auto Show in the great city of Changchun, the capital of Jilin Province. Changchun is also the hometown of First Auto Works (FAW) and its iconic Hongqi brand. So there was plenty of Hongqi to see. A mighty Hongqi CA770G state limousine, seen in a hutong in central Beijing back in February 2012. Sadly, the great Chinese limo was in a pretty bad shape, with rust and cracks all over. Still, in 2012 it was not beyond repair. Hongqi is a Chinese automotive brand owned by First Auto Works (FAW).

Hongqi CA7180A2E Is A Chinese-German Luxury Sedan

A Hongqi CA7180A2E, seen in 2011 in the Chinese capital Beijing. The Hongqi was in a great shape. Painted in black with slightly darkened windows and a gray license plate frame. These frames were a popular after-market accessory in the 2000’s.

Hongqi HQ300 Is A Chinese-Japanese Sedan At Home In Changchun

A Hongqi HQ300 sedan, seen in the great city of Changchun in 2016. The good Hongqi was painted in black, like 99.9% of these cars always were. It was in a fine shape with the original alloy wheels and the ultra cool Hongqi ornament on the hood.
