A white Roewe W5, seen in a cold winter’s day in south Beijing. The W5 was a mid-size luxury SUV that was produced between 2011 and 2017, with a facelift in 2014. Our W5 is an original pre-facelift car. The good Roewe was in a fine shape, painted in white with the plastics intact and fitted with the factory wheels.

A Ssangyong Chairman W CW700L limousine, seen on a car market in east Beijing in 2017. The good Chairman was in a reasonable shape but clearly in need of a little love. Note the bricks at fore and aft the front wheel, perhaps the handbrake wasn’t working…?

SsangYong Actyon Is An Interesting South Korean SUV In China

It is always hard to know how to look at the SsangYong Actyon; is it just plain ugly, or refreshingly different? I haven’t figured that out yet so for now I prefer to call it interesting. It sure is, from every side. The front lights give it an angry look, flanking a forward leaning grille. I found this very clean example in Beijing in 2016, looking almost as new.
