A super cool Mercedes-Benz E280 sedan, seen on a car market in the Chinese capital Beijing. The great Benz had an AMG body kit, AMG wheels, and an old blue 京A license plate. It was in a reasonable shape for its years, dusty with some busts, painted in a nice and shiny silver shade.

A Subaru Impreza WRX STi, seen on a car market in south Beijing. The speedy Japanese hatchback looked all the business; painted in Impreza blue and fitted with the almost obligatory gold multispoke alloy wheels. The enormous air inlet on the bonnet screams hardcore power.

A Toyota Yaris hatchback, seen on a parking lot in Beijing. The Yaris was in a reasonable shape, a bit dirty and dusty, with its paint a little faded, but yet on its original wheel and with a very cool 京P·68989 license plate. All of these numbers have a lucky connotation in Chinese culture, so this must be one lucky Yaris indeed.

A Mazda CX-9, seen on a car market in Beijing in the winter of 2019. The good Mazda was in a good shape with a fresh looking body and with the original factory alloy wheels. The first generation Mazda CX-9 was made from 2006 until 2015, with facelifts in 2010 and 2013.

A Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi GA5, seen in Beijing in early 2011, on a cold winter’s day. At the time, the Trumpchi GA5 was brand new and yet ultra rare, much rarer indeed than the two Nissan Bluebird sedans in the background. The GA5 was the first car of the Trumpchi line under the Guangzhou Auto brand. Later on, Trumpchi became a standalone brand.

An Audi TT sporty car, seen on a quiet winter’s day in central Beijing in 2011. The car stood all alone just at the end of a bicycle lane. But that was cool because the Audi was cool. Cool + cool = a free parking place on bicycle lane.

A pretty Ferrari California, seen in China’s capital Beijing in 2011. The good Ferrari was painted in red, and that is the only proper color for a sporty car in Red China. The California was further sexed up with darkened windows, gray alloys wheels, and red brake calipers.
