Here’s a Mercedes-Benz ML 320, seen in central Beijing in 2018. It is rare to see such a base-spec model in China; most are high-end or AMG. It was painted plain white, with black bumpers, and with black Beijing license plates.

An ultra-rare AMG Japan Mercedes-Benz 300 GE Cabriolet, seen on the premises of FB City in northeast Beijing. The old Mercedes looked stunning, almost as-new, painted in a beautiful shade of black with the original alloy wheels. The owner fitted modern headlights, but the rest of the car is so perfect, so I can live with that.

This is a cool Mercedes-Benz 230 E. I met it at a car repair market in south Beijing in 2024. The good old Benz looked great in dark blue. It had lowered suspension and was fitted with period AMG alloy wheels.

In the spring of 2014, I visited a Mercedes-Benz AMG Performance Center in Shanghai. The place was loaded with the fastest AMG cars, including a C63 AMG Edition 507, a C63 Coupe AMG Edition 507, an S63L AMG 4Matic, and a G63 AMG.

Here we have an extremely beautiful W210 Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan, seen in June 2016 at the parking lot of a shopping mall in the far east of Beijing. The Mercedes has diplomatic license plates and belongs to the Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).

A Mercedes-Benz 220E sedan, seen on a car market in west Beijing in the great summer of 2023. The old E was painted in a beige shade, and it looked remarkably well for its age, with a smooth body, shiny chrome, no rust or large busts, and most of its original wheel covers.
