Here’s a Galaxy M9, seen at a Galaxy dealer in Beijing. The big PHEV SUV was brand new and still had the protective plastic wheel covers from the factory. The M9 is 5.2 meters long and packs serious power.
Here’s an Avatr 06, a pretty Chinese sports sedan. It has eye-catching headlights and a Huawei lidar on the roof. The White/Black car in the photos is the EREV version, with a combined range of 1250 kilometers.

Here’s a Yuanhang H8, seen near a Yuanhang shop in east Beijing. The H8 is a rare but powerful electric SUV. It has AWD with 670 hp and 745 Nm. The car in the photos is painted in Snow Top White and fitted with dark gray 20-spoke alloy wheels.

This is a Deepal S05, a Chinese electric crossover. I met the Deepal in a residential area in the far south of the Chinese capital, Beijing. It had been raining the whole afternoon, so the S05 looked a little muddy.

This is the Volvo EM90, a full-size full-electric MPV for the Chinese car market. I met this Agate Black example on a second-hand car market in south Beijing earlier this summer.
Here’s an SRM E3L, a brilliantly utilitarian, fully electric ‘Cybervan’, seen at a car market in southern Beijing. The E3L was brand new, painted in Feather White, and fitted with ultra-cool steel wheels.
This is the Xpeng G7, a Chinese electric SUV. I met the G7 in western Beijing earlier this summer. It was brand new, with the dealer sticker still attached to the windscreen. The G7’s design is interesting, quite daring, and busy to the eye. But it somehow works.

Here’s a BYD Song L EV, a new fully-electric liftback SUV. I met the new Chinese EV on a hot summer day in Beijing near Tiananmen Square. ‘EV’ is part of the model name. The Song L EV has a maximum of 417 hp and a maximum range of 662 kilometers.
