Advertisement seen in a shop in the Sanlitun area in Beijing, frequently visited by foreigners. I saw it back in 2011 but the shop still exists today. A Chinese company offered a Roewe 750 for rent, describing the poor car as ‘British Old Fashion’. That must hurt! But it was not totally untrue.

Mercedes-Benz Advertises The S-Class In A Residential Area In China

It is always interesting to see carmakers advertise their most expensive offerings in such a way, even in a luxury-crazy market like China. Mercedes-Benz started selling the W221 S-Class in China in 2006, initially only in S300 trim. Later on, they added the S350, S500, and S600 to the lineup. Price of the base S-Class in 2009 started at 9.93 million yuan.
