E36 BMW 325is Coupe Is A Rare German Coupe In China

A rare E36 BMW 325is Coupe, Spotted in China in the Dongba area in the far eastern suburbs of Beijing in November 2015. The good 3 was painted in green and in reasonable shape. The paint on the bonnet, roof, and boot lid was heavily damaged, likely caused by bad Bimmer-hating weather.

Toyota Carina E Is A Rare Japanese Sedan In China

Here we have a Toyota Carina E sedan, seen on a car market in Beijing in 2014. The good Toyota was in a fine shape, albeit a bit dusty. It was painted in dark green with tinted windows, and on old black license plates. The Carina E was a compact sedan, positioned above the Toyota Corolla.

Suzuki Vitara JX With Black License Plates In China

A Suzuki Vitara JX 3-door hardtop with black license plates, seen in 2014 on a car market in Beijing, capital of China. The good Suz’ was in a surprisingly good shape and appeared to be 100% original, up to the Dunlop GrandTrek AT2 tires. Only the paint was fading a little bit, it had a few scratches here and there, and the left-rear hubcap was missing. Not bad for such a fine old car.

Fourth Generation Honda Accord Sedan In China With Black Plates – 4

A beautiful fourth generation Honda Accord sedan, seen on a car market in Beijing in 2016. It was in a reasonable shape and very much in need of a good cleanup and some love. The good Honda has a black 京A· 40108 license plate. And that makes it the fourth 4th-generation Accord with such plates that I have seen. Earlier on I met 京A·07472 and 京A·03383 and 京A·04621. But this is the first one in red!

First Generation Lincoln Town Car Is An Perfect American Sedan In China

A first generation Lincoln Town Car with black license plates, seen in central Beijing in early 2012. The big American sedan was in a perfect shape and looked almost as new. It was painted in pearl white with a dark-red vinyl top, further made pretty with darkened windows and still fitted with the original factory alloy wheels.

This original Lancia Thema was a strange and well-loved Italian unicorn in Beijing

One of the most interesting things about life in Beijing is the unpredictability and spontaneity of the place – its honestly a city where you’ll rarely meet the same people or have the same experiences day-to-day. This also applied until fairly recently to the car-scene in the city, and what brings us to this Lancia Thema, one of the most interesting and unique cars I came across in China’s capital.
