This is a Haima 3 hatchback, seen in the Chinese capital Beijing in 2018. The Haima was in great shape, painted black with the original five-spoke alloy wheels. The owner took great care of the little Haima, even the chrome bits were shiny as new.

Here’s a Volvo 940, seen in Beijing in the cold winter of 2014. The classic Swedish sedan stood in a small compound, in front of a red Honda Civic. There had been a lot of snow earlier that week, so every car on the road looked dirty. Snow was always gray in Beijing, never totally white. Nowadays, snow is rare in the Chinese capital.

Here’s a Fiat Siena in the Chinese capital Beijing in 2018. The subcompact Italian sedan was in good shape for its age, painted in a sleepy shade of silver with slightly darkened windows and the factory-original gray wheel covers.

This is the Neta S, a pretty Chinese sedan. I met it near a Neta service center in south Beijing in 2024. The color name is Raptor Brown, which is confusing, as it seems more purple than brown. But hey, these new Chinese EV companies have their ways of doing things, don’t they?
Here’s an Infiniti ESQ, seen in the Chinese capital, Beijing, in 2018. It is painted Flame Orange. The design is a tad odd, with a strangely shaped grille, daytime running lights atop the hood, and large round headlights in the bumper.

This is a Lifan 320, seen in the Dongba District of Beijing, the Chinese capital, in the cold winter of 2018. The 320 is painted in Lightning Blue, a rather pretty color for the little hatchback.
This is the HiPhi Z, one of the craziest Chinese cars ever made. It was indeed a bit too crazy. I met this pretty Khaki Green example at a dealer area in south Beijing, where it stood abandoned. It was an ex-demo car, according to a guy working in a nearby shop.
