Here’s a Porsche 911 GT3, seen at a nondescript parking lot in east Beijing in the spring of 2018. The German supercar stood unattended between a Porsche Panamera and a Jaguar XJS. It was an unusual spot for such a rare and massively expensive machine.

This odd machine is a Ruf Freiheit. I saw it in north Beijing in August 2018. The Freiheit looked great in silver with darkened windows and classic five-spoke Ruf racing wheels.

A Porsche Cayenne Turbo SUV, seen in the great city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province in 2014. The Porsche looked fantastic. It was painted in a rare factory color called Speed Yellow. It has darkened windows, a black roof, after-market sideboards, and black alloy wheels.

A Porsche 911 sports car, seen alongside the Liangmahe river in central Beijing in the winter of 2009. The Porsche was painted in dark blue, at least I think it was because the color was basically invisible because of the dust. It also had a cool matching license plate with the sequence 京C·K1911.

We continue on the wrapping path, with the second Porsche Cayenne of the day. Earlier on, we met a second generation Cayenne in shiny blue. Now we have a first generation car in shiny gold. I saw them both in 2013 in the Chinese capital Beijing.

And that day in 2011 I was on my way to elsewhere and found a Porsche display near the gates of Terminal 3 (T3) of the Beijing Capital International Airport in China. A typical departure area with boring shops and overpriced food. So seeing some Porsches was very good.
