Here’s a Chery Fulwin 1.6 EFI, seen in a car dealer area in Beijing in 2018. The old Chery sedan was in perfect shape, painted in a light shade of gold and fitted with the original 5-spoke sporty wheels. The Chery Fulwin is based on the Seat Toledo Mk 1.

I went to a HIMA dealer in China. HIMA is a car-making subsidiary of China’s tech company Huawei. I saw many great cars, from a 215 kW electric sedan to a 392 kW range-extender SUV. All the cars are loaded with tech and luxury.
Here’s a Zeekr 007 GT, seen in central Beijing. The 007 GT is one of many new Chinese electric station wagons. It packs 422 hp on the rear wheels, and it has a 650-kilometer range.

Here’s a Beijing BJ90 SUV, spotted in north Beijing earlier this year. The BJ90 has a big V8 under the hood, and at the time, it was one of China’s most powerful and most expensive cars. But it was not totally Chinese.
