This is the Qiyuan A06E, a streamlined, fully-electric fastback sedan launched earlier this year. It has a dark lightbar with the Qiyuan logo in the middle, darkened windows, and a lidar above the windshield. The Qiyuan A06E is a rear-wheel drive car with a max range of 630 kilometers.
About Qiyuan
Qiyuan (启源) is a brand under Changan Automobile. In some export markets, the brand is called “Nevo“. Qiyuan launched in 2023. At the moment, it sells six different car models, including the ultra-cool Qiyuan E07 pickup-truck transformer and the Qiyuan QO5 crossover.
Sales have been good. Qiyuan is the second-best-selling brand of Changan Automobile, after the namesake Changan brand. In May 2026, Qiyuan sold 29.754 cars, good for a 1,95% market share and the 17th spot in the brand-sales rankings.
The Qiyuan A06E
The Qiyuan A06E is a mid-sized full-electric fastback sedan, launched in early 2026. There’s an EREV version too, which Qiyuan calls the A06R. The car in the photos is the top-end Qiyuan A06E 630 Ultra model. As so often, the type name gives away the CLTC range: 630 kilometers.
The A06E is a good-looking car, especially in “Floating Shiny Silver”. It has a streamlined fastback body with a small spoiler at the rear. The drag coefficient is only 0.205 Cd. The size is: 4885/1916/1496, with a 2922 mm wheelbase and a 1860 kg curb weight.
The interior of the Qiyuan A06E
The owner fitted a sunshade under the windshield; it is quite rare to see those in spring, when the Beijing sun isn’t yet very hot. The interior color scheme has a great poetic name: Cloud Dream Purple (云梦紫). There’s ample storage space under the center tunnel, easily enough for two boxes of tissues. The floor mats with the Qiyuan logo are a factory option.
Tech! The large-diameter 3-spoke steering wheel comes with scroll wheels on each side. The drive selector is mounted on the steering wheel column. In the center tunnel are two 50W wireless chargers, two cupholders, and a controller for the 15.6-inch infotainment screen. The driver’s display measures 10.17 inches, which is large compared to the competition.
The floor is completely flat, so legroom is huge. The Qiyuan A06E has a lot of space for the nas as well: 656/1770 liters in the trunk, and 108 liters in the frunk. Standard equipment includes a 21-speaker sound system, including one exterior speaker, and a 256-color ambient lighting system. Exterior speakers are hot in China; many car makers now fit speakers to talk to other road users or to play music while camping on a holiday.
Specifications of the Qiyua A06E
The rear-wheel drive Qiyuan A06E is based on Changan’s SDA platform with an 800V architecture. The ‘ATDM04’ electric motor comes from Chongqing Tsingshan, a Changan subsidiary. Power: 210 kW (286 hp) and 290 Nm. The top speed is 188 km/h, and it does 0-100 in 6.2 seconds.
The 62 kWh LFP battery makes for a 630 km range. A 30-80% charge takes only nine minutes, which is very fast for the segment. The developer of the “Golden Bell” battery pack is Changan Automobile, and the manufacturer is Gotion High-Tech, one of China’s largest battery makers.
Price
The Qiyuan A06E 630 Ultra costs 139.900 yuan, or $20.7K. That’s a fantastic deal for such a large machine with that much power and tech aboard. But, again, almost every car in China is a good deal, and the A06E faces heavy competition from dozens of similar sedans from other Chinese car brands.
