This is a Geely Boyue REV SUV-coupe. I saw it earlier this year at a Geely dealer in the far southwest of Beijing. The Boyue REV has a range-extender electric powertrain, good for a maximum range of 1525 kilometers.

With all the attention for Geely Galaxy, Zeekr, Lynk & Co, good old Geely is sometimes forgotten. That’s not right, as it is one of China’s best-selling car brands.
In May 2026, the Geely brand sold 54.551 vehicles, good for the 7th spot in the brand-sales rankings (out of 103). Geely sells a broad mix of sedans, hatchbacks, and SUVs, with ICE, HEV, PHEV, EREV, and EV powertrains.
The Geely Boyue REV
The Geely Boyue REV is an SUV-coupe, launched in early 2026. It is a good-looking car, with a sporty design and beautiful wheels. Geely calls the dark gray color “Sea Rock Gray”. The car in the photos is the top-spec Ultra Long Range Platinum model.
REV stands for Range Extender Vehicle. That’s Geely’s own abbreviation. Common abbreviations are REEV (Range Extender Electric Vehicle) or EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle).
The Geely Boyue REV is a sister model of the Livan 7. Livan is another brand under the Geely Group. However, the Livan 7 is a fully electric car, without a range-extender petrol engine.
The interior of the Geely Boyue REV
The Black/Dawn Orange interior looks super clean, with wide, comfortable seats and a high-quality fit and finish.
The two-spoke steering wheel has a thin rim and a large diameter. Large steering wheels are a new trend in China. The drive selector is mounted on the steering wheel column.
There’s a 15-inch HUD, an 8.8-inch driver’s display, and a large 14.6-inch touch screen. The operating system is Flyme Auto. Geely fitted two cup holders, a panel with buttons, a volume knob, and a single wireless charger on the center stack.
The leg room seems enormous, but the rear seat bench is notably short. This is a common trick in China to make a car look more spacious. The Geely Boyue REV also has a 16-speaker sound system and a 128-color ambient lighting system.
Specifications
The Geely Boyue REV has a complex front-wheel drive powertrain. The Ultra Long Range Platinum combines:
- A naturally aspirated 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 82 kW and 136 Nm. This engine generates electricity for the battery pack. It never connects to the wheels.
- An electric motor with 160 kW and 327 Nm.
- An LFP battery with a 50.4 kWh capacity.
- A 52-liter fuel tank.
- A one-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT).
With all that tech on board, it has a 375 km electric range and a 1525 km combined range. That is impressive for the segment. Charging the battery takes 24 minutes. The top speed is 185 km/h, and it does 0-100 in 8.4 seconds.
Price of the Geely Boyue REV
The Geely Boyue REV Ultra Long Range Platinum costs 120.900 yuan, and that translates to 17.820 USD. That’s a good price for such a high-tech vehicle with that much range. However, as always, the competition is fierce and comes from all directions. So far, the Boyue REV hasn’t really caught on yet, but perhaps we should give it a little bit more time.
