About Xiaomi

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra

The company behind the SU7 Ultra is just as significant: Xiaomi Auto is a subsidiary of the consumer electronics firm Xiaomi Corporation. After becoming one of China’s largest sellers of phones, computers, vacuum cleaners, and more, the company decided to enter the car market.

Xiaomi Auto launched its first car, the standard SU7 sedan, in 2024. It was an immediate hit, reaching the Top 10 in mere months. In 2025, Xiaomi launched the SU7 Ultra and the new Xiaomi YU7 SUV. Early 2026, the brand launched an updated SU7. That’s how fast this company works!

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is a high-performance variant of the SU7. However, it is indeed so much more powerful and advanced that the brand has positioned it as a separate model. The Ultra comes with beautiful matte gray alloy wheels, carbon ceramic brake discs, yellow Xiaomi-branded brake calipers, and “U” badges on the front fenders. The wheel size is 265/35 R21 at the front, and 305/30 R21 at the rear.

The SU7 Ultra comes standard with an aero kit, including a large wing on the back, active aero fore and aft, and a bif diffuser.

has a 3-motor AWD fully-electric powertrain. The combined output is 1548 hp (1138 kW) and 1770 Nm. That makes the Ultra by far the most powerful mass-market car in China. It is even more powerful than hypercars such as the Yangwang U9 and the Hyptec SSR.

The SU7 Ultra sprints from 0-100 in 1.98 seconds, to 200 in 5.86 seconds, and the top speed is 350 kilometers per hour. The 0-400 meter dash takes 9.23 seconds. Xiaomi claims a braking distance of 100-0 km/h in 30.8 meters. Furthermore, Xiaomi says that the car can brake from 180 km/h to zero ten times in a row without fading occurring.

Under the floor of the SU7 Ultra lies a 93.7 kWh CATL Qilin 2.0 NMC battery pack. According to Xiaomi, this battery has been specially developed for driving on the track.

The battery has a maximum discharge capacity of 1330 kW. Even at 20% battery capacity, the discharge capacity is still 800 kW. The on-road range is 630 kilometers, but no one will get that, I guess. The SU7 Ultra has an 800V architecture for fast charging: 10-80% in only 11 minutes.

The interior

The cabin is draped in layers of alcantara trim, and it looks absolutely brilliant. It has leather-alcantara sports seats with yellow stitching and Ultra-branding on the backrest. Below the center tunnel is a large storage area, large enough, indeed, for a pack of wet tissues.

The SU7 Ultra features a 7,1-incg drivers display and a large 16.1-inch touch screen. The panel with buttons under the screen is an accessory, supplied by Xiaomi. Standard, it goes without these buttons. The mobile phone magnets atop the dashboard are official Xiaomi extras as well. That’s the advantage of being owned by a consumer electronics firm – Xiaomi can make all that stuff in-house!

The SU7 Ultra is low and long: 5070/1970/1465, with a 3000-mm wheelbase. That makes for a lot of legroom in the rear. The SU7 Ultra can seat five adults, and it also has a 454-liter trunk. It is perfectly usable as a family car, going on a weekend trip to grandpa, bringing food and flowers.

The color of the car in the photos is Obsidian Black. The carbon fiber hood with air vents is optional, too, but fitting it means you’ll lose the 105-liter frunk. The vents were initially controversial because they didn’t really work, but Xiaomi has fixed that with a recall

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra costs 529.900 yuan, which translates to $78 K. In China, you can buy a 1548 hp hyper sedan for less than 80.000 dollar. It is insane, and for Xiaomi, the Ultra has been a giant hit and image builder. It broke many records, and it became the first Chinese car to feature in Sony’s Gran Turismo series of racing games. So, even when you are not in China, you can still drive the SU7 Ultra on track.
