Ferrari 458 4.5L Spider Has A Matching License Plate In China

Ferrari 458 Spider

A super cool Ferrari 458 Spider, seen in a brilliant light in central Beijing on a cold early evening in January 2014. The Ferrari was painted in yellow with darkened windows and headlights, and black alloy wheels with red brake calipers.

That all aside, most incredible was the effect of the lights in the background, from a restaurant, on the 458’s pretty yellow paint-job. The running lights ran all the way from the roof to the pavement. On pic, they are like green-red-blue, but they changed color every few seconds. It was all quite confusing. In a good way.

The license plate was something special too: 京N·458UO. Officially, license plate numbers have never been on sale. But unofficially, folks could pay a little bit more to get the license number they wanted. This was totally accepted and common in the brilliant everything-goes wild days from 2006 until 2012 or so, but I don’t think it is so easy today.

The 2014 Ferrari 458 Spider sold for 4.43 million yuan in China. Power came from a 4.5 liter naturally aspirated engine with 570 hp and 540 Nm. Horses went to the rear wheels via 7-speed DCT. What a pretty Ferrari!
