Porsche 911 GT3 Looks Cool On Forgiato Wheels In China

996 Porsche 911 GT3

A speedy Porsche 911 GT3 super car, seen in front of a Forgiato shop on the Tuning Tribe tuning street in east Beijing in 2013. The Porsche was painted in a sweet shade of white, with black racing stripes and darkened windows.

But the best bit were the ultra cool Forgiato wheels, painted in black with a purple blue rim, sitting inside the largest tires that could possibly fit. The purple blue color comes back on the rear wing and on the mirror frames.

Large ventilated steel brake discs and yellow brake pads.

The 996 Porsche 911 was made from 1997 until 2004. The GT3 model was powered by a naturally aspirated 3.6-litre flat-six engine with an output of 380hp and 385nm. Top speed is 310km/h and 0-100 is gone in 4.5 seconds.

Forgiato is an American company founded in 2006, making all sorts of fancy wheels for all sorts of cars. In 2014 they arrived in Beijing with a shop in the Tuning Tribe. They always had cool demo cars there but in 2019 the shop was closed and some of their cars were dumped on a nearby parking lot. I will post the pictures later on.

The 996 Porsche 911 GT3 probably had the best ass of any 911 ever. This machine is pure automotive p@rn. License plates are of Liaoning Province. The 996 911 was not officially sold in China so they are very rare, especially in GT3 form. Porsche only started official 911 sales in China in 2005 with the 997 911.

The typical twin-pipes and extra aero bits. Note the width of the wheel!
