Sunra Electric Scooter Is Fast And Furious In China

I have always loved fuzzy factory decals on all sorts of vehicles in China. The best such decals can be found on electric scooters, especially on scooters made in until 2015 or so. Today, somewhat sadly, most Chinese scooter makers have vastly improved their branding efforts. This red Sunra scooter I found in Beijing is fantastically old school decal-wise. It comes with a wild ‘Racing Fast and Furious’ decal on the rear fender.

The scooter doesn’t really look that fast and that furious, now does it? It is a very typical city scooter fitter with a hub motor in the rear wheel, a child seat at the back, a warm winter cover with attached gloves attached to the handle bar, and a basket up front. I drove an electric scooter in Beijing too. In winter, you really need that sort of cover. Mine didn’t have the attached gloves though, I always thought that was a tad too dangerous.

The scooter is also an “Intelligent vehicle global leader” “The First” and part of “SunRA SR Racing Sports”.

Sunra, Xinri in Chinese, is one of China’s largest electric scooter makers. These days they make a series of very trendy machines, including the cool Miku Super with a 110 km range. The ‘Fast and Furious’ type of scooter is no longer alive, Xinra has moved up now, but the Linuo S6 seems the closest kind of a successor.
