Bentley Continental GT IS Matte Black In China With A Special License Plate

Bentley Continental GT

A stealthy Bentley Continental GT, seen in Beijing in 2012. The big ‘Ben was wrapped in a matte black wrap, and further dressed up with darkened windows and multi-spoke matte gray alloys.

The wrap was very high-end, covering the car’s body smooth and tight, and everywhere. Even the mirrors were wrapped! Only the side window frames, chrome strips over the sides, door handles, and the Bentley logo were left un-wrapped. Full red rear lights form a fine contrast with matte black body.

The license plate is very old. Blue 京A plates were issued to the very first private vehicles in the Beijing area. The count started with 京A·00001, so the plate on this Bentley once belonged to the 299th privately held car in Beijing. The owner of this Bentley likely got his hands on it when that car was scrapped.

The Bentley Continental GT is a rather common luxury sled in China. In Beijing, they are more common than a Geely Meirenbao. Bentley began selling the first generation in China in 2004. Our wrapped car is a second-facelift example, made from 2008 until 2011. Power came from the mighty twin-turbo 6.0 W12 engine, good for 602 hp and 750 Nm. Price started at 4.38 million yuan. Wrap of this quality added at least a 100.000 more.
