BMW M6 Gran Coupe Is Silver In China

BMW M6 Gran Coupe

A brand new BMW M6 Gran Coupe, seen in the east of Beijing in 2013. The big Bimmer was painted in silver with a shade of blue. It had a temporarily license plate behind the windshield, which was common at the time for cars that has been purchased but not yet registered.

The F06 BMW M6 Gran Coupe was made from 2012 until 2018. BMW started selling it in China in 2013, priced at 2.39 million yuan.

The M6 Gran Coupe was a beautiful car. Relatively sleek and light on the eye for a BMW, with an aggressive stance, emphasized by the wide wheel arches and the racy side skirts that ‘disappear’ at the front wheel. Only real let down are the rear lights which seem way too large.

The temporary license plate behind the rear window. It was issued in north eastern Liaoning Province, about 700 kilometers by road from Beijing. That must have been quite a ride in the M6!

The BMW M6 Gran Coupe was powered by a 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with an output of 560 hp and 680 Nm. It could do 0-100 in 4.2 seconds with an unlimited top speed of 305 kilometers per hour.

That’s one pretty bonnet…
