This sweet little white sedan is a Haima Family, based on the Mazda 323 Familia. The Haima Family was one of those super basic cheap Chinese sedans, but sadly it was never able to compete with cars like the Volkswagen Jetta or Citroen Elysee.

This was the first Haima police car I had ever seen. The Family looks nice in police livery, topped by a large police-light bar. License plates are of Inner Mongolia province.

I found this car on the parking lot of a car show in Beijing. That’s at least a few hundred kilometers from Inner Mongolia. Did these coppers drive all the way to see the show? It wasn’t that special. And don’t they have bad guys to catch..?

But no matter why, it was great to see this Haima Family police car in the capital. I hope she got back home safely.
