This is a Geely Galaxy E5, seen in south Beijing in 2024. It is painted in a pretty gray color called Streamer Silver. It has slender, darkened headlights, sporty aero wheels, and darkened windows. The charging port is on the right front fender.
Geely Galaxy
Galaxy is a brand of New Energy Vehicles under Geely Auto, itself a subsidiary of the Geely Group. Galaxy launched in 2023. Geely initially launched Galaxy as a product line under its brand, but it re-launched it as a fully independent brand in late 2024.

The structure is the Geely Group is incredibly complex, with overlapping names and sub-companies. To make things worse, Geely Group has the habit of moving brands around between companies, merging brands with other brands, upgrading lines to brands, and downgrading brands to lines.

The Geely Galaxy brand is doing quite well. The lineup counts nine cars, and in May 2025, it sold 79.357 cars, good for sixth place in the brand sales rankings. For comparison, the much older Geely brand ended in fourth place that month.
The Geely Galaxy E5 is a compact electric SUV, launched in 2024. Various export markets also refer to it as the Geely EX5, while in Malaysia, they market it as the Proton eMas 7. It is a good-looking car, with a modern design and a high-tech vibe. The black wheel arches nicely hide the tiny 18-inch wheels. It has a slippery body with a drag coefficient of only 0.269 Cd.
Interior
Geely Galaxy is very good at interiors, and the E5 is no exception. The cabin is spacious and light, with white-leather seats and high-end trim all around. It has a large speaker on top of the dashboard, just behind the screen.
The main screen’s size is 15.4 inches, massive for the segment. The operating system is Flyme Auto. It also has a 10.2-inch instrument panel and a cool square-shaped two-spoke steering wheel. The drive selector is at the steering wheel column. It has a control knob at the center tunnel, with two cup holders and a wireless charger.
Lots of space for passengers in the back. Note the large sunroof. The floor mats are an after-market extra, matching nicely with the seat’s pattern. The audio system has 16 speakers.

Consumers can choose between two LFP battery packs: 49.52 kWh for 440 kilometers of range or 60.22 kWh for 530 kilometers.
