An rare white Nissan Cefiro A32 was seen in Hohhot in 2018. The car had some damage but was in good shape.
The Nissan Cefiro A32 is the model’s second generation. In other regions of the world, except Japan, it was known as the Maxima A32, and in North America, the Infiniti I30. Our Hohhot car is a 2.0-liter model with a VQ20DE engine that was also used in the next generation. It wasn’t particularly speedy, but it was really silent.
The Cefiro was legally imported to China from A32 to A33. I’m not sure how many Cefiros were sold, but it was so well-known in China that it was given the nickname “Mute King”.
I first saw Cefiro in the 2014, a snowy day. At that time I was only a kid but I had known the Cefiro from the net. Although the one I saw wasn’t in good shape, it still left a good impression.
Nissan always uses splendid translations. They used the word “风度” which means “personable”, for the Cefiro. Now this white one successfully made my day. Just like a cool gentleman wearing a white suit. Cool.
