Smart ForTwo Jeremy Scott Edition Is Odd Yet Special In China

A double Smart ForTwo Jeremy Scott Edition, seen at the Hong Kong Plaza shopping mall in Shanghai in December 2015 by Pinut187, thank you for the pictures! The Smart ForTwo Jeremy Scott Edition is a very rare car, only ten were ever made and five came to China. Back then it was sold for a massive 388.000 yuan.

That may seem a lot for a Smart but it was quite a special car. The Jeremy Scott Edition was developed and built by Brabus, and sold via the regular Smart dealer network. The Edition came standard with fiery wings at the back, racy white six-spoke alloys, special white paint, and a white leather interior.

Jeremy Scott is an American fashion designer, his most famous design is a line of Adidas shoes that feature similar wings. The two examples in Shanghai were dressed up with reindeer horns for the Christmas holiday. The horns are painted in the same red as the roof.

The Jeremy Scott had a beautiful interior with white leather seats and door panels, a white steering wheel cover, a leather arm rest, and various Brabus bits, including the handbrake handle.

The base Smart ForTwo started at 115.000 yuan in China in 2015, so even three of those were cheaper than one Jeremy Scott. The Scott was powered by a Brabus-tuned variant of the turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine, with an output of 102 horsepower.

All five cars were sold, but I have never seen one on the road yet. Perhaps buyers see it as an investment, and have it stored away. Not sure they will ever make a profit though as the Jeremy Scott Edition is largely forgotten today. And that is too bad because it was an odd yet special little car.

Reindeer Smarts were ‘pulling sleigh’. With 108 hp each they can handle that.
