I went to a Xiaomi shop in Beijing on a surprisingly hot summer afternoon. My primary target was the new Xiaomi YU7 SUV, one of the biggest hits in China this year. Immediately upon entry, I found this pretty YU7 painted in Titanium Gray with a Coral Orange Interior. Well, that was a good start, but it would only get better.

Here’s a Lynk & Co 07 EM-P fastback sedan, seen on a hot summer’s day in the Chinese capital, Beijing. The stealthy color is called Fluent Gray, and it has the original factor-standard alloys. I went to a HIMA dealer in China. HIMA is a car-making subsidiary of China’s tech company Huawei. I saw many great cars, from a 215 kW electric sedan to a 392 kW range-extender SUV. All the cars are loaded with tech and luxury.
This is a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, seen in a residential area in southern Beijing. The large SUV looked striking in Platinum White, with the extra-dark windows providing a sharp contrast.

Here’s a pretty Citroen C-Elysee hatchback, seen in the south of Beijing in China earlier this summer. The C-Elysee looked fantastic, very well-maintained, almost as-new. It is rare to see a Chinese Citroen of this age in this shape.

This is a Wuling Air EV, seen in a residential area in south Beijing. The bizarre machine looked like it had time-traveled from a faraway future. The Air EV is a 30 kW rear-wheel drive car with a 300-km range.

I spotted a Volkswagen Polo hatchback in a parking lot in south Beijing. At first glance, the Polo looked abandoned, but a closer look showed that it was still in use. This particular Volkswagen Polo stands out with its bright red paint, simple steel wheels, and rare white license plates.
